Emergency First Aid at Work

The IQ Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) meets The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in respect of First Aid at Work and is aimed at individuals who intend to develop and gain formal recognition of their knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid at work. The course duration is 1 day and the qualification is applicable to those who work or intend to work for a range of organisations, as all employers are required by law to have First Aid provision for their employees. By completing the single mandatory unit, all learners will cover the essentials of First Aid, including roles and responsibilities, incident assessment and managing and administering First Aid to casualties in a variety of situations. These situations could relate to breathing, chocking, bleeding, shock and minor injuries. Objectives of the qualification include preparing learners to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or requiring more specific knowledge, skills and understanding, meeting relevant programmes of learning, preparing learners for employment and supporting a role in the workplace.

Food Safety in Catering

The IQ Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering has been developed to provide those who work in the catering industry with knowledge of basic food safety, to meet the legal basic food training requirements and to improve the level of food safety in the industry.

Under UK legislation everyone who handles food as part of their job must be provided with suitable training relevant to their work activities. This qualification covers an understanding of: how individuals can take personal responsibility for food safety (which includes an introduction to the legal responsibilities of food handlers and food business operators), the importance of keeping him/herself clean and hygienic, the importance of keeping the work areas clean and hygienic and the importance of keeping food safe.

Terms & Conditions

 

CETMA can accept bookings via Phone, email, or booking form. However, whichever booking option you make, these Terms & Conditions apply.

Provisional Booking

A provisional booking will be held for four weeks from date of enquiry, after which time it would have to be confirmed, or the placement would be offered elsewhere.

Cancellation Charges

If you give more than 42 days notice of cancellation – we will refund 75% of the cost. Cancellations made between 28 and 42 days of commencement will receive a 25% refund.

Any cancellations made less than 28 days prior to the date are non-refundable. Cancellations must be received in writing by CETMA. Delegate names can be changed (for certain courses, contact CETMA for details) at any time without penalty.

CETMA reserves the right to alter the dates or provision of service, the venue and the individual or organisation providing the service or alternatively cancel any booking and make a full refund of fees. In the event of cancellation, bookings will normally be transferred to the next available course unless the client specifically requests otherwise.

We will not accept liability for any consequential losses arising from such actions.

Catering

If a buffet has been asked for prior to an event and the customer wishes to decrease the number of delegates, CETMA would have to be informed of this up to two days prior to the event. These changes would then be made free of charge. If this is not the case the original amount will be charged for. Any delegate who has any dietary or other special requirements should inform us at the time of booking.

Dietary/Access requirements

It is the delegate’s responsibility to notify us of any special requirements. We accept no responsibility for any incident that occurs due to a booking form not being completed correctly.

Customer Insurance

CETMA shall not be held liable for any personal injury caused by customer neglect, incurred whilst on any courses or premises. CETMA cannot accept any responsibility or liability for loss or damage to any property belonging to the Customer, their delegates or guests. Parking at any venue is also at the owner’s risk.
